A Kaleidoscope of Colours – Love like Frida – Wedding Inspiration

As wedding photographer we see a lot of weddings and we would like to deliver some wedding inspiration for future wedding couples. Every now and again we are doing a creative photoshoot to show what is the latest trend and what is also possible at a dream wedding.

For the following wedding inspiration we got inspired by the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. She was a stunning painter who got famous for her powerful self-portraits.  50 years after her death she is still admired as one of the greatest artists in the history of art. Frida painted topics about love and passion in strong and bright colors. Therefore, we encourage you to use color blocking in your wedding concept.

We would like to give you some tips how we converted our colorful ideas into action. At this point we would like to say thank you to all the wonderful people who have supported us: Many thanks to Eva Baumann from Fraubaumann for the beautiful bridal bouquet and the lovely floral hair accessory, to Magdalena Weiler from Die Schminkerei for the perfect styling and the beautiful make-up, to Katja Haas from Papier-Liebe for the colorful wedding paper and to Cornelia Zimmermann-Lämgle from Confesti for the delicious cup cakes.

For this wedding inspiration we choose a loosely falling linen dress. With its wide and long sleeves and its beautiful embroideries it remembers of the traditional dresses of the indigenous people from Mexico. The colorful concept can also be expressed in the make-up of the bride: fire-kissed lips, a bright nail polish and dark-painted eyes and eyebrows.

Special wedding details can include colorful wedding paper, multi-coloured candles, little cacti in terracotta pots, beautiful picnic blankets and exotic fruits like oranges, mangos, or pineapples. These colorful wedding details would be extraordinary if you use a warm gold tone to it.

The motto of floral decoration is “more is more” and you can use exotic palm leaves and beautiful big flowerheads. Also the flower decoration should be in strong and bright colors like red, yellow, or green. The bridal bouquet and the floral hair accessory can be a bit more sumptuous like as usual.

The inspirational photoshoot took place at the Palm House in Innsbruck. It was quite humid in there so we felt like being in Mexico. In addition to palm houses, a nursery or a romantic garden can be chosen as location.

We are super happy that our wedding inspiration got featured in the well-known wedding magazine of Hochzeitswahn. In the november issue of “Sei inspiriert”, we are represented there with a total of five pages.

We hope that our wedding inspiration “A Kaleidoscope of Colours – Love like Frida” will inspire you.

Love
